Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Senior Accountant, the Assistant Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department in various accounting and financial tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and development in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Process invoices and expense forms, verifying accuracy and compliance with policies.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and assist in audits.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Handle payroll administration and ensure timely payments.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain financial documents and records in an organized manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in the UAE or GCC region is preferred.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
