Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation of high-quality dishes, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe creation, and food preparation.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing training, support, and guidance to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards.
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop new dishes and update the menu.
- Handle customer inquiries and special requests with professionalism and courtesy.
- Monitor food costs, waste, and portion control to maintain profitability.
- Assist in scheduling kitchen staff and managing shifts to ensure adequate coverage.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative and passionate about food, with a keen eye for detail.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
