Cairn Oil & Gas is the only major private oil and gas company in India. We produce 25%
domestic crude oil and gas for the country. We are committed to playing a lead role in the
energy security of the country and geared up towards contributing 50% of India’s oil and
gas production.
We have extremely prolific and high potential assets – conventional and unconventional. We
have proven deepwater reserves with potential of more than 500 MMboe and a production
possibility of 200 Boepd in the near term. We have one of the largest exploration drilling
programs currently underway around Digboi (Northeast India), where first oil of Asia was
produced.
We have an ongoing drilling campaign of 100 wells to unlock the full potential of our
onshore and onshore conventional assets. Additionally, we are executing one of the largest
ever ASP/EOR programs to maximise recovery from our Rajasthan (Western Onshore)
assets – Mangala, Bhagyam, Aishwariya to more than double our production. Our tight oil
and shale reserves are highly promising with over 1Bboe combined R&R and a combined
production potential of more than 150 Kboepd.

India has a huge demand for oil and gas. Most of the oil that we produce is sweet crude. We have
plans to invest USD 4-5 Bn to produce 500 Kboepd. We are looking for a seasoned and
experienced person to lead Cairn. The ideal incumbent will be a techno-commercial leader who
has extensive network and can leverage contacts to onboard best-in-class global contractors,
service providers and engineering companies to execute our growth plan and enable us to
contribute 50% of domestic crude production of India.
The incumbent must have substantial onshore and offshore field experience with over 25 years of
extensive experience in mid to large size oil and gas E&P companies producing minimum 200
Kboepd. We are looking for a leader with entrepreneurial mindset, who has grown through the
ranks; is a seasoned people manager with ability to develop, build and lead teams. S/he should be
able to build a pool of globally renowned technical experts to bring in world-class practices. The
person must have demonstrated track record of delivering industry leading growth performance
through progressive adoption of the latest technologies and innovation.
